Distance Paintings

The Distance Painting series is a series of paintings made with three silk-screens. Each image is 12" x 1.5". One is a straight line, one is a quarter circle and other is a half circle. Each painting is, ultimately, of a different length.

The two double sided Distance Paintings were made for the lobby of the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The distance of the one in the foreground is based on the circumference of the lobby and while the other is based on two diagonals through it.

The site-specific Distance Painting (784') is based on the circumference of the room in which it is painted.
